The Jefferson County Open School community held a memorial service for Jack on the 22nd of May 2011.

A Crimson King Maple was planted in Jack’s honor.  The tree is located behind the school near the soccer field and the eastern goal which Jack defended as goal keeper playing for the Wheat Ridge High School team.  A round of boule bread from the Denver Bread Company was placed in the hole for the tree to rest upon and grow strong.
